Seattle Wedding Photographers John K. Hong and Joseph
K. Hong
Born and raised in Korea,
we were heavily influenced by our father who was
a photojournalist and an owner
of a fine-art gallery. We were both educated at the
University of Washington studying anything but photography.
John graduated with degrees of Microbiology and Economics
while Joey graduated with Cell & Molecular Biology
and Art History. Medicine was our initial career pathway,
but after photographing our first wedding, we redirected
our focus towards our passion for wedding photography.
We are now full-time wedding photographers in a never-ending
pursuit of perfection in wedding photojournalism. Our
wedding photographs have won numerous awards from the
Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) and have
been highlighted in multiple publications. Collectively
and individually, John and Joseph are ranked among
the top in the nation with Joseph being named the 2003
Portrait Photographer of the Year by WPJA. We thank
you for considering us to be your wedding photographers.
In addition to their primary website, additional and
individual works can be viewed at John Hong Photography
and Joseph Hong Photography. John & Joseph live
in Seattle with their dog, Filson

Seattle Wedding Photographer Bradley Hanson
Since receiving a Voigtlander
camera as a gift at the age of 10, I’ve been
fascinated with the art of photography. When I first
saw a print come to
life in
the developer tray, I knew I would be a photographer.
I am fortunate to earn a living doing what I truly
love. I have devoted my life to exploring and improving
my
skills as a photographer and continue to do so day
after day. I find art in the beauty and geometry of
everyday
life, never leaving the house without my camera. Particularly
with live music and weddings, I approach photography
with the belief that the reality of each moment is
the ultimate beauty, and that it's these fleeting moments
that are the most valuable to my clients. My wedding
work is often described as wedding photojournalism
or
documentary style. Although I am a Seattle area wedding
and music photographer, I regularly travel for weddings,
and have been commissioned to photograph weddings all
over the world. My work has been featured in ad campaigns
for Amazon.com and Ericsson mobile phones, album cover
art for Pete Droge, Downpilot, Sugartown, Brother Sun
Sister Moon, Visqueen and Broadcast Oblivion. Music
and editorial photojournalism has been featured in
local
and national magazines, including Seattle Weekly, The
Stranger, Photo District News (PDN), ROCKRGRL, The
Big Takeover, Three Imaginary Girls, Washington Free
Press,
Local Planet, Seattle Bride, The Knot, Conde Nast's
Brides Magazine, Wedding Pages Magazine, Wedding Expo
and Bravo's
promotional literature. I've recently been named one
of the nation's top wedding photographers by PDN magazine
and the Wedding Photojournalist Association.

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of
your life. I believe your photographs should reflect
who you are and I approach every wedding with this in
mind. I work quietly and quickly, in the background,
to capture your day as it unfolds. The photographs in
this site reflect a documentary style, capturing the
event as it happens, in candid moments, the way you will
remember it, not merely just the standard posed shots.
Travel opportunities are welcome. I'd be honored to be
a part of your celebration wherever it may be. I'm a
graduate of Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena,
California. I began my career as a fashion photographer
in Milan, and later opened a studio in Los Angeles servicing
major ad agencies for such clients as American Express,
Beringer Vineyards, Carnation, Disney, General Mills,
Hilton Hotels, KCBS, KNBC, MCA/Universal, Mattel, Microsoft,
McDonalds, Nissan, Prudential, Sheraton, Toshiba, Unocal,
and many, many others. I've been an advertising photographer
for over 25 years, and am still very active in this type
of work. But wedding photography for me is truly a labor
of love. Literally. As sort of a hopeless romantic, I
find my photobiographical approach rewarding, both personally
and emotionally.

Seattle Wedding Photographer: Rebecca Sullivan
Growing up in Montana, in the
last house on the edge of town, I spent my childhood
among wide, lonely spaces
and intimate settings such as kitchens and celebrations,
where people gather and create, or become stories. My
photography has grown from the fascination I developed
for landscapes and the people who inhabit them—studies
of rural Ireland or Newfoundland, the old men in the
piazzas of Italy, Irish musicians in their cottages and
the Roma children in the streets of Istanbul. Photographing
a wedding in The Pacific Northwest is a natural extension
of my desire to create a narrative with my pictures.
It is my job as a photographer to take these images and
tell a meaningful story. It is a privilege to record
an important event in the life of a couple and their
families. My work is stylish, interesting and very emotional.
I see how important a marriage ceremony can be, and I
want to honor all of the people who are involved with
very lovely photographs. Each occasion is a unique assignment.

What do you see when you look
at wedding photography? Beyond the beautiful dresses
and flowers, beyond the
picturesque settings, there are the emotions, the moments,
and the personalities. My wedding photography comes from
a documentary perspective. I concentrate on candid moments
of people that evoke a sense of the day's special mood
and character. Along with traditional posed, group photographs,
my specialty is seeing and capturing those fleeting,
unposed moments that reveal the spontaneous joy and energy
of people being themselves. I photograph all the planned
events, but I believe my photography is distinctive because
I also aggressively seek those moments which are more
subtle, yet nonetheless beautiful and stirring. Every
image I make maximizes the moment's evocative, emotional,
and compositional content. Every image works to tell
the story about your wedding day through the personalities
of you, your friends, and your family. After viewing
my portfolio for the first time, a client once told me
she could see herself, her fiancee, her friends, and
her family in my photography, even though she was seeing
images of other people. Feelings like that come from
people being comfortable with the presence of the photographer—so
comfortable that they just relax, have fun, and forget
about the guy with the camera. I hope you see this in
my portfolio, too. If the images here interest you, I'd
be happy to speak with you to discuss in greater detail
what I offer and how I work to provide you with distinctive
memories of your wedding day.
